Artist Talks & workshops

A series of open-form conversations, workshops, screenings, and masterclasses about hybrid nonfiction forms with leading artist-researchers. Students and community members engage in dialogue with renowned film artists about creative forms and research processes. Open to the public.

Works-in-progress

An open-platform series focused on innovative approaches to experimental nonfiction. Makers present in-progress projects with students and faculty across the Fine Arts in a relaxed, low stakes environment. Students can receive constructive feedback on projects at any stage of development.

Past Initiatives

Within Our Community – A speaker series highlighting work by acclaimed faculty and alumni.

Reading Group – An informal, student-run learning initiative mobilizing discussion of key topics in artistic research and experimental nonfiction.

Visual Collections Repository (VCR) – A screening series hosted by MFA students and faculty. Organizers curate moving image works from FOFA’s VCR collection and lead discussion on forms and processes in dialogue with Fabrique-mondes’ ongoing research projects.
